Just wanted to check in.  Erin is doing good, keep praying.  She and her family continue to face new and different challenges; yet they are standing in the midst of it all with their eyes on Jesus…..what a great testimony!

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has declared each May; “Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month”.

Encourage everyone……riders or friends of riders to keep their eyes open for motorcyclist.  Make sure to keep each other in prayer while on (and off) the road.

We want to lift up our friends Andrew and Erin………..Andrew has been a part of several of our get togethers and at least one Angel Tree Ride (sorry Andrew, I can’t remember), and both are wonderful friends and “bikers”.

Erin has been diagnosed with breast cancer and her family has created a Facebook Group for her.  The idea is to lift Erin and the entire family up in prayer and blessings during this rough time.

Apparently, Erin has been nicknamed “Elmer” by one of her brothers cause she is the glue that holds them all together……Join us in Team Erin.  In prayers and support.

I realize it’s February and the fact that it is a new year probably should have already been mentioned, for some reason though, just as with any year, it just came.

It’s 2010……..Get Out, Get In, Get Together, Get Serving……….how do we as Bikers, those of us who love to feel free, do this?  Well suggestions are welcome!

We’ll be sending out an email (I hope soon) to everyone to schedule a get together……whether it be a quick ride to grab a bite for lunch, an all day ride, or maybe just a BBQ……any volunteers?  If you want to be included, please send us an email so we can put you on the list.

Merry Christmas!

Our Angel Tree delivery ride will be December 20th after second service.  We will meet by the Men’s Faternity building in the south parking lot.  Prior to starting deliveries, we’ll have hot dogs and hamburgers with chips for lunch.  We’d love to have you join us, this is an amazing experience for everyone involved.  Please contact Trent or Melissa with any questions.  trent@bethanybikers.com  or melissa@bethanybikers.com

Also, the Angel Tree ride will be after church on December 20th.  Please let us know if you are planning on attending…….the more bikers, the more deliveries…………..call or email us if you have questions or can join us.

Those of us that were there on Saturday had a great time!  We met at the church and rode over to Chandler Harley for a day of bikes, music and Christian fellowship.  Rick’s band Hawgwild opened the show with “We’re an American Band”…..great song.  They did great!  After the set up change Bryan Duncan entertained us all.  Then spent time with everyone signing books, cd’s and at least one album cover (that’s a cardboard sleeve that holds a 12 inch vinyl thing called a record).  Everyone had a great laugh about how styles and people have changed.

We already have a couple of things coming up…………November 22 is a combined service, so we will have an after service lunch ride………….also, and most important Angel Tree 2009 is coming!!!!!  We will confirm the date this week and post it here so everyone can plan accordingly…….we should have ride pins this year, we’ll let you know.

Sorry it’s been a while.  Things are chaotic, but good.  We have been told of a great event coming up this month by Tom of Black Sheep.

Christian Musician, Author and fellow biker Bryan Duncan will be performing this month at Chandler Harley Davidson.  We will meet with anyone who wants to ride together in the Bethany Community Church parking lot at 10am.  We’ll lift the kick stands at 10:30.  The concert starts at 11am.

There are going to be in-store specials and Black Sheep HDFC is set up to serve hot dogs.  Bonus: It’s DEMO DAYS at Chandler Harley!

First, I want to apologize for not getting this posted last week. My intent was to have this prayer request up by last Tuesday, however life got in the way, and I missed the mark. My apologies to both Rick and Patty.

Second, I would like everyone to know that Rick shared with us that Patty’s chemo therapy has changed. the change hasn’t been really agreeing with her, and is taking a lot out of her. Her last treatment was this past Thursday. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to make it to church today.

Please keep both Rick and Patty in your prayers during this time in their lives. Also, don’t hesitate to let us know if you would like us to post a prayer request for you.
